Every Inch of You Tells a Story

I’m in the camp of the righteous, dear Asha, and all I want to do is spread your light and give you the crown you deserve.

But you’re not too material, you sometimes even pay for the movie, clean the fish tank.

If I took a survey of all the men, they would all say they love you but only I would mean it, so be with me my love, you won’t regret it.

You might think I’m just an unruly tenant in your heart but there’s no need for medieval torture, I don’t snake around you trying to make you sing soprano.

Just please recognize my talent for loving you, and yes, my sense of entitlement does create a struggle from time to time, creates a distance between us that keeps our souls separate.

But I have a high threshold for pain, as opposed to the other boys who linger about, bed you but never commit like a corrupt government.

My staff and I do what’s best for the shareholders, and the rest is entertainment, watching us march on, thirsty and looking for a place to relax.

Don’t stereotype me by lumping me in with the guys who line up to love you like a retailer who gives you the option to buy now and pay later.
